[00:02] <scott_ormands> Hey Larrikin, I was wondering how are things like titan boosts (Ex. the Erebus' armor bonus's) going to work now that you are no longer required to be in a specific position to pass them, also how will they be applied since there isnt a module you can use to apply your ships inborn boosts like i understand the new ones link modules will be.
[07:32] <xttz> I can already tell you any answer will involve the words "dev" "blog" and "soon™"
[13:10] <ccp_fozzie> We'll be giving titans a special boosting module (along with keeping the ability to use the normal ones). We're definitely aware that it's not going to be exactly the same as the current boosts that you don't need to fit for, but non-module boosts are going the way of the dodo.
[13:13] <titus.tallang> elaborate on "special boosting module"
[13:13] <titus.tallang> what kind of fitting tradeoffs can we expect to make?
[13:16] <xttz> sounds like it'll mean needing to drop a high slot mod like a turrent in order to retain the old built-in functionality
[13:23] <steveronuken> or it gets a new highslot. Or midslot. or low slot. As the module can go in any slot CCP feels appropriate
[13:27] <titus.tallang> new mid/low would break tank balance
[13:27] <titus.tallang> and titans already have 8 highs, the game can't handle more than that
[13:30] <xttz> if only they had planned for keyboards with more than 8 F-keys!
