[16:24] <titus.tallang> alright, so to get some activity going on in here
[16:25] <titus.tallang> let's talk about one of the big elephants in the room: SP loss on death
[16:25] <titus.tallang> 1) CCP: what is your current intent for this mechanic? do you want it to stay in the new iteration of T3 cruisers? if yes, what purpose do you feel it serves?
[16:26] <titus.tallang> 2) everyone: what is your opinion on the matter? do you feel SP loss serves a purpose in the age of skill injectors (where SP = ISK)?
[17:38] <exooki> I dislike the SP loss. As someone who used to fly t3s in almost all my PVP it was a consonant annoyance, much of WH space as it ages has moved to command ships to avoid the SP death
[17:39] <exooki> Unless you make T3s actually better than most other choices ( which i believe we specifically want to avoid) the SP loss will be a major detractor for people using T3s
[17:40] <exooki> at this point in my eve career, i can shrug it off, as i dont really have anything left to train anyways, but i believe it to be an unnecessary barrier that may stop new players from using them for pvp/ riskier situations
[17:46] <exooki> I dont believe it should be used as a valid balancing factor either, since if we decide that T3 cruisers are a tad strong, "but its ok because SP loss" than we need to remember that SP can be isk, and hopefully we are all aware of how using isk as a balancing actor has played out in the past. If the rebalanced t3s are amazing, the SP loss wont deter people from using them to the point of eclipsing everything else
